Hosting Multiple Autotask Companies on a Single Domain


Occasionally, a professional services organization will have a single domain configured as containing multiple Organizational Units with each Organizational Unit representing one of their customers. In this case, it is possible to configure Identity Syncronizer to syncronize each OU as if the OU were contained in a separate domain. This allows a single Syncronizer process to manage contacts for multiple unique companies within Autotask. 

To Configure Identity Syncronizer for Organizational Unit specific routing, start by locating the OU for which you wish to manage Autotask Users as shown below:


Open the properties window for the selected organizational unit:

 

When a screen similar to the following appears, click on the Configure button:



This will cause an Autotask configuration tab to appear. On this tab, click the Override button on the top right of the screen and then click the add button near the center of the screen and enter the correct API credentials including the Company ID that relates to the OU on which you are working.
