Identity Syncronizer® Agent Upgrade
Problem
Identity Syncronizer® Agent stops working after a version upgrade has been performed.
Solution
This problem is related to a change in the encryption method the application is using. The agent.dll file is not being updated during the version upgrade, so a manual update must be performed.
1.- Navigate to c:\windows\system32\
2.- Look for a file named agent.dll. And, rename it to agent2.dll
3.- Copy agent.dll from c:\program files\identity synchronizer to c:\windows\system32
4.- Reboot the machine
5.- After the reboot is complete navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Syncronizer.Agent (this is a hidden folder so you may need to type the path into the location bar)
6.- Delete any .trn or .tsn files from C:\Windows\System32\Syncronizer.Agent
7.- Open the windows services console and find “Identity Syncronizer – Agent Service”
8.- Start the “Identity Syncronizer – Agent Service”
